Are You Making These 5 Mistakes Trying To Get Rid Of Acne?

by Marcel Stephenson

As an acne sufferer, you are not alone; there are millions of people worldwide that have the same problems with pimpleS.

Just this week alone over one hundred thousand young adults woke up, got out of bed then looked into the mirror to see why their faces itched and felt sore. Then they all screamed in unison to discover they had zits!

1. Many dashed off to the drugstore and bought various creams and treatments and applied them all at the same time.

This is all wrong. Don’t even try it because it is the biggest mistake made. Don’t rush, read the labels! Some are for severe cases and others are for mild cases. These could lead to irritation because they fight deep acne with harsh chemicals and this will not agree with you if you have a sensitive skin.

Reading the fine print on the acne treatment products will tell you what you need to know. Also, it’s not advisable to use several of these acne treatments at the same time.

2. Don’t scratch your pimples.

Yes, they probably itch, but avoid that overwhelming urge to scratch them. If you do, the infection could spread and the bacteria could infect the other pores around the same area.

3. Don’t squeeze

Even though the whiteheads are filled with puss, the pimples will pop on their own when they are ready. If you squeeze, the pimples will impact deeper in to the pores, which only causes more infection. This will result in deeper pimples that will affect the surrounding areas.

4. Acne will not go away if you scrub it.

Cleaning your acne gently two or three times daily will help. Use an all natural soap or one medicated for acne treatment. Clean cotton wash cloths should be used to clean the area gently.

If you scrub your acne will get irritated. It will cause more infection to take place and irritate the skin.

5. Your diet is important when trying to curb acne outbreaks. If you eat fresh fruits and vegetables it will help clear the acne.

Acne begins from the inside then works it’s way out through your skins pores. The sweat is mixed with bacteria the body is eliminating. This sweat is then mixed with dead skin cells that clog the some of the skins pores. When the pores are impacted like this, pimples are the result. Simply put, the infected skin pores are the acne.

What you eat does affect your acne. Your skin needs the same nutrients as the rest of your body; otherwise it will not be in healthy shape. When you consider what junk food really is made of, it makes sense that it certainly is not helping your acne condition.

Curing acne is not one thing you do to fight it but a combination. It took a combination of things to occur in your body to cause it. If you avoid some of the mistakes, this will help you get better control over your acne and begin eliminating the condition a lot faster.
