Two things we all have to do, and usually take for granite, is sleep and breath. Getting the right amount of good sleep helps your body produce growth hormones that are essential to building defenses against viruses. And by setting aside a few minutes here and there to take some deep breaths, slow long relaxing breaths will actually allow the oxygen and blood to flow more naturally through out your body and help it heal and fight cold sores at the core level.

By all means, get some exercise. Even if you just go for a short walk. Small amounts of interval training, exert then rest, does wonders for your mood and your body. Your mind and body already have the ingredients to fight cold sores, you only need to help it along.

Everybody loves a bit of sunshine but try not to over do it. Over heating and exhaustion can diminish your bodies ability to fight viruses. By all means enjoy a bit of sunshine, it is naturally good for you just avoid too much especially sunburns.

Our Emotions are a very important part of our existence. Fear and anger 10,000 years ago could literally mean survival. Yet, we generally live in a safer environment these days. Maintain a good attitude. Just when things seem like they couldn’t get any worse, you have got to realize you may be better off than you think. No matter how difficult the situation I am sure you have not just been abducted by aliens. Therefore, just say, “I am grateful that I have not been abducted by aliens and this situation is much better than that.
