How long it takes to strip fat from your body is something that is different for everyone. Fat can be stubborn, and when people discover that it takes a lot of effort to shift they give up. You have to think though, if it’s something that takes 6 months to a year, and you do nothing, what will you be thinking in a year’s time when you’re heavier than you are now.

To burn fat you need to eat a healthy balanced diet and exercise regularly. To burn a pound of fat you have to burn 3500 calories. An hour of intense cardio will burn between 600 and 1000 calories. This depends on the effort you put in, and how much you weigh.
If you’re burning 600 calories for an hour that means you’ll roughly burn a pound of fat every 6 hours of cardio you do. So if you do an hour of cardio 3 times a week you’re going to lose a pound of fat every 2 weeks. If you do six sessions a week then you’ll lose a pound a week. This is where your goal setting comes in and your determination.
If you’re eating healthy and cutting out all rubbish foods like sugar and refined carbohydrates then you’ll lose weight at a faster rate. So you could end up losing 2 pounds of weight a week.
Your metabolism
When you exercise and eat healthy foods your metabolism increases. This means that your body burns fat even when you’re resting. And as you lose fat and increase your muscle mass your metabolism will continue to increase, so your body naturally burns fat at a faster rate.
Your energy
When you exercise you get more energy. When you have more energy you can do more intense workouts, and you start enjoying life more. This will make you more determined to lose more weight because losing more weight makes you feel better, and you get in a cycle of feeling better and exercising harder.
Doing this for 6 months will completely change your life for the better. All you have to do is eat healthy food that gives you a balanced ratio of protein, fat and carbs, and exercise.
