For a change, on one of my blog posts I’m going to talk about an infection in your pets. In this blog post I’ll talk about ringworm in cats and dogs.
What is ringworm
Ringworm is a contagious fungus found mainly in cats and dogs. It is usually a lesion on your pets skin, but it’s not always in the shape of a ring. Obvious signs are your pet continuously scratching the same area of their skin.
Ringworm on your cat or dog can also look like other skin infections including mange. If you suspect your cat or dog has any skin infection you should take them to a vet for a correct diagnosis as soon as possible.
Usual treatment for ringworm in cats and dogs
The usual treatment for your cat’s or dog’s ringworm is an anti fungal cream and/or shampoo. The factors that come into play when your vet prescribes one of these anti fungal products are…
- The severity of the ringworm infection
- How many pets you have that are infected
- If you have children in your household
- The difficulty in which you can disinfect your pet’s environment.
A natural cure for your pet’s ringworm
If you would rather give your pet a natural ringworm treatment, or the conventional treatment you have been using hasn’t worked or caused side effects then you might consider a natural ringworm treatment for your cat or dog.
PetAlive Ring-Ex is a natural treatment that contains ingredients that cure your pets ringworm, and eliviate all symptoms, and promotes the healing of your pet’s skin.
It usually takes about a week for the ringworm to be cured then you continue the treatment until the skin is fully healed to prevent a reoccurrence of the infection.
You can read more information on PetAlive Ring-Ex here.
