Suffering A Panic Attack? 3 Symptoms To Be Aware Of

People can suffer from panic attacks at any time during their lives and these will only generally last for a short time. In fact generally a panic attack lasts for only around 10 minutes but there are certain symptoms of a panic attack that can result in it lasting for quite a bit longer. You need to be aware that if you have a panic attack once the chances of further attacks taking place in the future are high.

It is just physical symptoms of a panic attack that sufferers need to learn to deal with there are also the mental ones. In this article we look at some of the symptoms that you may suffer from and being aware of what they are will help you to identify when an attack is going to happen.

Symptom 1 - People who suffer from panic attacks find that they feel dizzy and apprehensive when an attack is going to take and will start to get stressed and worried over nothing. In some cases the dizziness that the person suffers from will leave them feeling weak and with more severe panic attacks can lead to the person fainting.

Symptom 2 - Many people who suffer from panic attacks will find that they have problems breathing when an attack takes place. They start to imagine that their throat and chest are becoming constricted which results in them physically finding it hard to actually breathe. The reason why their chest is feeling constricted is their body is trying to prevent levels of adrenalin rising in the body which will cause them to feel anxious even more.

Symptom 3 - Another thing sufferers will notice when they are having a panic attack is their heart rate increases. This is because it is attempting to push the small amounts of oxygen around the body that is being breathed in and which is being rapidly up by the body. But along with the accelerated heart rate the person’s breathing becomes a lot faster and deeper as they attempt to try and draw more oxygen in because the levels already there become depleted very quickly.
