Have you always had a dream of getting six pack abs? To some people that may seem like quite a simple dream, but to the people who don’t have them, gaining them can be one of the hardest things ever. 99% of the people who desire a six pack will never get one, and its for a simple reason. The problem, is that people want instant gratification and are easily discouraged. They don’t have the drive necessary to get results, to do the work that is required to reach their dreams. Setting and sticking to a routine is a very important portion of getting ripped abs. Being informed about the ways to get the abs is the other very important part, as if you aren’t doing the right exercises, you wont be seeing any results.
The reason that the vast majority of people who lust after a six pack cant get one, is because they are misinformed. The American public has been told this false information for so long that is has become common albeit incorrect knowledge. The idea was that doing an immense amount of crunches and sit ups before you go to sleep and when you get up would get you great abs fast. This is not true at all. Doing so much abdominal work can actually slow the development of your abs, as they will not be recovering properly due to over use. You most certainly should strengthen your abs, there is far more to getting the six pack than just doing crunches all the time.
The hardest and most important step to getting that sexy six pack is to lower your total amount of body fat while adding muscle. If you add muscle while lowering your total fat, you will see the abs pop out faster than any other way. Eating incredibly low fat and doing lots of cardio everyday is the key. Losing body fat is hard but its not impossible. Running, basketball, swimming, etc anything to get your heart rate up. Adding muscle to your abs is easier than losing fat. Weighted crunches and leg raises are two great exercises for this.
There is no way I can stress doing cardio enough. The total fat loss that this provides is the only kind of fat loss. That’s why people who only do crunches wont get the six pack. There is no such thing as targeted fat loss. To get muscles to show you have to reduce your total amount of body fat by as much as possible.
Determination is your key word in the weight loss game. If you are motivated to burn the fat, then you will! Its important that you stick with whatever routine you have developed for at least three weeks before evaluating its effectiveness. Getting into a routine also has the added benefit, that when you have an established routine, you are less likely to break said routine.
