Can A Vaginal Infection Cause Bloating

I’m often asked, can a vaginal infection cause bloating? While the actual infection doesn’t cause stomach bloating, the fungus that is causing the infection can cause bloating.

What is causing the infection and bloating

The Candida yeast that causes yeast infections in your vagina can cause bloating if the infection is in your intestines as well. The mutated yeast will fight your body and other friendly bacteria for the nutrients in your intestines.

The Candida yeast is a gas forming bacteria so if you have a vaginal infection, and you’re suffering from bloating as well you have a high chance of having Candida overgrowth in your body.

See your doctor

If you haven’t been already, you must see your doctor for a correct diagnosis. These two symptoms are not the way to self diagnose yourself, they are just a guide.

If you have intestinal yeast

If you are suffering from a yeast infection with intestinal yeast as well then you need to start an anti Candida protocol. Your doctor can’t prescribe anything that will cure you, as drugs are not a cure for intestinal yeast infections.

Any anti fungal drugs that you take will kill off the friendly bacteria in your intestines, and this leaves your intestines vulnerable to more Candida overgrowth. Changing the way you eat, and discovering the cause of your yeast overgrowth is the only way to cure yourself.
