Candidiasis test

A home candidiasis test can be performed in a couple of different ways. The first is a simple question and answer test. If you’re suffering from the symptoms commonly associated with the Candida Albicans yeast, and you answer yes to most of these questions then you have a good chance your symptoms are related to candidiasis.

Here are a list of questions for your candidiasis test…

  • Have you used antibiotics or any antibacterial drugs/medication on more than one occasion?
  • Have you suffered with recurrent yeast infections?
  • Do you have suffer with a foggy brain? Is your concentration level very low?
  • Do you suffer from sugar cravings, or have cravings for yeast based foods like bread?
  • Are you sensitive to chemical odors such as perfume or cologne and tobacco smoke?
  • Have you ever taken steroids for long periods of time?
  • Have you taken the birth control pill for long periods of time?
  • Do you suffer from any intestinal disorders such as constipation, bloating, diarrhea, indigestion or any abdominal pain?
  • Do you suffer from itchy or burning skin?
  • Do you suffer from any symptoms that even your doctor cannot put a cause too?

Did you answer yes to most of them

If you answer yes to most of these questions then have a very high chance of suffering from the fungal form of Candida in your digestive tract.

If you have been to see your doctor, and even he/she hasn’t been able to stop your symptoms or put them down to anything then that increases your chancesof suffering from candidiasis as well.

If you’re suffering from recurring yeast infections then you may have another underlying cause that you should talk to your doctor about. If all these have been ruled out then Candida Albicans is most certainly the cause of your symptoms.

Because there is no instant cure for Candida overgrowth in someone’s digestive tract ( as doctors like to give you a prescription and say call them in a week ) most of them refuse to believe your symptoms are caused by it. Most people like you have to go on the internet or read a book, and perform there own candidiasis test.

See a Naturopath practitioner

If you have a Naturopath practitioner near you it may be worth going to see them. These practitioners are a lot more understanding when it comes to any problems of the digestive tract.

Spit test

Another candidiasis yeast is the spit test. Basically when you get up first thing in the morning you spit into a glass of water, and then wait for half an hour. You must perform this test before you have anything to eat or drink otherwise the test won’t work for you. During this half an hour check the glass periodically for results.

The things you are looking for are stringy parts hanging from your saliva, saliva in the bottom of the glass and to see if the water is turning or has turned cloudy. Healthy saliva will just float on the top of the water without anything happening.

See you doctor first

This candidiasis test is only meant as a guide, and in no way should replace any professional help. If you’re suffering from any symptoms for anything you should always see your doctor first.
