What Happens When You Keep Your Yeast Infection Too Long

Someone asked me the other day, “What happens when you keep a yeast infection too long?” Depending on where you have this person has their yeast infection will produce different symptoms. But the most important question is not what happens, but why have they had their yeast infection for too long?

If you’re taking any medication

If they have had their yeast infection for a long while and they’re taking or applying any medication then they run into the risk of their yeast infection becoming resistant to the anti fungal medicication they’re using. If they’re just suffering from symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection and they’re taking an oral anti fungal medicine you they also have the risk of their yeast infection getting into their intestines.

Prescription medication

If you have had a yeast infection for a while, and you’re seeing your doctor then all that will happen is you’ll keep getting prescribed stronger medication. If you’re yeast infection is in your intestines then this will just be making your infection worse. And you will almost certainly have a Candida yeast that will become resistant to your nedication. The reason for this is all your doing is treating the symptoms and not the cause.

Candidiasis

After a while you’ll start to get the symptoms of candidiasis which are not very pleasant, and can start to affect your life. The main symptoms being brain fog and lethargy. If you start suffering with these symptoms, and they start getting worse things like your work can become difficult as your concentration begins to shorten. Very rarely in worse case scenarios women have been known to become bed ridden where their anergy has been completely taken away from them.

See to your yeast infection as soon as possible

Your health will benefit by you curing your yeast infection as soon as possible. If you have a vaginal yeast infection and it isn’t being cured easily then the chances are that it is spreading from your intestines to your bowel and urinary tract. This is usually the case if you start suffering from a yeast infection after a course of antibiotics.

Probiotics

Repopulating your intestines with a good quality probiotic after you have finished your course of antibiotics is the perfect yeast infection prevention. This will make sure your intestines don’t get repopulated with the Candida yeast instead of your beneficial bacteria. Candida will usually repopulate a lot faster then your beneficial bacteria due to the modern day diet that is high in sugar and refined carbohydrates. These are the Candida’s favorite food, and they begin to thrive when feeding on them.

See your doctor

If you are suffering too long with your yeast infection, and you haven’t taken a course of antibiotics, if you haven’t seen your doctor it’s important that you do. This will rule out any other causes like diabetes or something more serious.

It’s important to your health not to keep your yeast infection too long. The problem with this is people always find this out when it’s too late. Don’t be one of them.
