Where Do Yeast Infections Come From

Where do yeast infections come from? This is a question that gets asked from time to time as women who are naturally healthy people can’t understand why they are now suffering from a yeast infection so they assume that the infection must of come from somewhere.

We all have the Candida yeast in us

Yeast infections don’t come from anywhere. We all naturally have the Candida yeast living in and on our bodies. It’s only when this usually harmless yeast is allowed to mutate into its fungal form that you start experiencing the symptoms of a yeast infection.

Your body has friendly bacteria that keeps the Candida yeast under control and prevents it from mutating. The most common cause of a yeast infection is a course of antibiotics. Antibiotics kill off your friendly bacteria so when the antibiotics course finishes the Candida yeast has nothing to allow it to mutate and take over.

Discovering the cause

Because a very high percentage of women have no idea why they’re suffering from a yeast infection they also have no idea of the cause of the Candida overgrowth. Knowing the cause of your yeast infection will dramatically cut down the amount of time it takes to cure yourself.

Many women are lucky, they go out and purchase an over the counter yeast infection cure, and one week later that’s the last they ever see of yeast infections. For a small percentage of women though the over the counter cure is just the start of their problems.

Now you know that yeast infections don’t actually come from anywhere and the Candida yeast lives naturally in us all you have a head start in curing yourself as fast as possible. Knowing what has caused the yeast infection is far more important, and when you have discovered the cause of your yeast infection you will be well on your way to curing yourself for good.
